Programs

Monday Night for the Master - Monday night for the Master is an outreach program held at the Annex Building each first and third Monday of the month.  It involves a fellowship meal, short devotional and group work for card writing, child care, phone calls, visits, cookie delivery or clean-up.  Each person can find an area that he or she is comfortable participating in.  This is a great opportunity for the entire family to take part in.

R.O.S.E. Group - R.O.S.E. is a women's ministry opportunity for ladies at Eastside.  R.O.S.E. stands for Reaching Out and Serving at Eastside.  The group combines reaching out and serving others with monthly devotionals which are held the second Tuesday night of each month.  The meetings involve dinner, a devotional period and then time spent togther on some type of service project.  It is an excellent opportunity to get to know each other better.  Projects included service for Eastside families, the community or some type of mission work.  Outreach nights are scattered throughout the year.  These nights are times when friends from outside Eastside are invited for an activity.  An example would be dinner and a play.  Outreach nights provide excellent opportunites to influence an individual who might not be willing to attend a devotional or worship service.

Ladies' Bible Class - Eastside's Ladies Bible class is designed specifically for the congregation's ladies, both young and old.  However, ladies outside Eastside are encouraged to meet with the class.  The class meets every Wednesday, September through May at 10:00 a.m. in the Annex building.  Lessons are taught by different ladies on a rotation basis.  Each third Wednesday, a potluck meal is served and the men of the congregation are invited for lunch.  Following the meal, take-out plates are delivered to shut-ins and needy members.  Various projects are done throughout the year for shut-ins and widows/widowers.  Also included in the class are care baskets for the sick and meal preparation for families following sickness or death.  This is a wonderful opportunity for ladies of all ages.

Youth For Christ - This program is to help develop young men and women into the leaders of tomorrow.  The program focuses on helping our young people develop leadership abilities in speaking, song leading and scripture reading.  The program is lead by John Thomas and takes place on Sunday nights.

The TWEENS - is a group designed to meet the needs of young people in the 3rd through 5th grades.  Since mnay of these young people make very important decisions about their faith during this time, the goal of the group is to support their exploration of faith in a positive way and prepare them to become more actively involved with the teen ESCAPE program.  Activities incude devotionals every month designed for their unique needs and interests, service projects and fellowship activities.  The Tweens also attend age appropriate youth rallies when they are made available.  This program is lead by Mike and Tereas Lyle.
